Even on a busy Farmers Market Sunday, Cafe Mia had space for us to warm up and chow down on some of the most beautiful french toast I've tasted.

The cafe itself is absolutely beautiful. Hand made tables, a beautiful array of hanging flowers and lighting, pillows along the bench. Perfect setting to enjoy a latté (or something stronger) on your sunday mornings.

When the food came, I wish I took more time to enjoy it but I was so hungry. I will say the vanilla was a little too much in the whipped cream and it tasted like alcohol was infused with it, which would actually be good. The 'nanas were beautifully caramelized and the syrup was the perfect amount!

I'm looking forward to moving to West Seattle to come on back as often as possbile!

If you're headed here on a weekday to do some work at a table and grab a coffee, this place is great. Beautifully decorated and quiet with delicious lattes.

However, if you are ordering food, beware - the previous reviews are correct in that it will take a ridiculously long amount of time to receive your order. When I went with my boyfriend, we were the only two people in the entire cafe midday on a Friday and it still took 45 minutes to get our order. You also have to pay at the counter before you receive your food (if you're like us and you tip before receiving your food and then it takes 700 years to get your order...it's a little annoying). The food itself was good, but the wait time wasn't worth it in our opinion. Too bad because this place would be perfect if their service wasn't so slow!

My husband and I came here for the first time for breakfast and let me just say, fantastic food and atmosphere! The decor of the place is also very cute and cozy! I would highly recommend this place.

Steamed apple cider with lemon, honey, and cayenne $4.20: Nice drink to warm up, especially on a fall day.

Vanilla Latte $4.20: Good, but no different than other vanilla lattes.

Raspberry Thumb Cookies 4 for $2: I'm a sucker for these types of cookies. These were really good.

Peanut Butter Cookies 4 for $2: These were OK, not particularly memorable.

Chocolate Linzer Bite: I'm not sure what's in this, but wanted to try it because I was in the mood for chocolate. It didn't hit the spot for me. I think I was expecting it to be more brownie like.

Cheesy Biscuits and Mushroom Gravy $11: I'll admit to having a peculiar palette. The former establishment here had sausage gravy, which I loved, even though I would avoid eating the actual sausage bits. Likewise with mushroom, I can enjoy mushroom sauces, but don't like eating actual mushrooms. That being said, if I were to compare this mushroom gravy to the former sausage gravy, I'd choose the sausage, hands down.

Skillet Huevos Rancheros $12: I just tried a couple bites. It was my first time trying huevos rancheros ever, so I have nothing to compare it to. It was fine, I think just not for me as I typically don't have Mexican food types for breakfast.

Overall Impression: Prices are very reasonable. Other than the raspberry thumb cookies, nothing gave me the "I gotta order this again next time" feeling.

This is a gem of a place. Cozy, cute, great atmosphere and the best food.  I loved the breakfast skillet so much I just had to ask the chef how to make it and...he told me! I'm sure it won't be as good but I'll try it when I am visiting my daughters out of state. Can not wait for them to come visit me so I can take them here!
